Wesley College and DatacomIT are proud to announce the launch of their ‘Archives and Art Collections,’ Recollect site.
Wesley College is proud of their history and traditions as a progressive, open-entry school, consistently celebrating religious tolerance, cultural diversity, academic excellence, and outstanding educational opportunities for more than 150 years.
Their extensive archival collection illustrates the history of the College through images, works of art, personal papers, multimedia, historic artefacts and magazines, and published histories.
The College required a unified online portal for curating, preserving, and transforming their digital content, while engaging public and alumni communities. They wanted to unlock the knowledge contained in their archival collections and bring the contents to life for all their stakeholders.
They turned to DatacomIT, and the Recollect Collections Management platform, which allowed them to achieve their objective by creating relationships in the metadata that threaded together stories embedded in their collections.
Recollect has provided the Wesley community with easy online access to rich historical archives and art collections, consisting of images, publications, and documents.
