We’re thrilled to announce the overwhelming success of our recent Digital Preservation and Heritage Trails webinar session! With over 170 registrations, it’s safe to say that our community’s enthusiasm for preserving cultural heritage knows no bounds.
We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to our guest speakers Melanie Rush (Digital Archivist), Ipswich Libraries, and Tanya Jen, (Team Coordinator, Cultural Heritage), City Design Branch, Ipswich City Council, who presented their innovative work with heritage trails with Picture Ipswich.
Picture Ipswich (Ipswich City Council Recollect site) is recognised for pushing the boundaries of online collection management and located heritage experiences. The ladies certainly put on an interesting presentation.
Picture Ipswich has also deployed Recollect’s digital preservation module, as they understand the need to preserve and store the digital file is equally as important as preserving the original objects.
Together, we’re making a real difference in preserving the stories and treasures that define who we are.
