DatacomIT hosted an online webinar to showcase how schools are using the Collection Management System, Recollect, to manage and preserve cultural heritage and special collections.
The webinar features a presentation from our guest speakers – Margot Vaughan, Curator of Collections and Bart Rutherford, Senior Systems Librarian from Melbourne’s prestigious Wesley College.
Margot and Bart discuss how the flexibility of Recollect’s graph-based metadata system and the ability to follow a story line were key in the selection of the Recollect platform. They outline their Recollect journey from personas and wireframes, and concluded with a look at the virtual exhibition of their Indigenous Art Collection, Archives and Art Collections.
The session begins with DatacomIT Recollect consultant, Roger Mills, presenting an overview of how Recollect manages and preserves archival and cultural materials while providing new levels of community engagement with school collections.
