DatacomIT is pleased to have digitised the Central West Libraries Festival of Arts collection for the aim of integrating the digital collection into their already deployed Recollect site. DatacomIT assisted in ingesting the collection and are thrilled to see Central West Libraries unveil its collection to the public last week.
The collection is a treasure trove of photos, images, and documents archived by the festival organisers between 1978 and the late 1980s. It illustrates the eclectic music, art, and theatre, for which the festival became known. Orange Festival of Arts was one of Australia’s biggest community arts and produce festivals, confirming Orange’s prominence as a vibrant cultural centre.
