Thousands of photographs, documents and records from the Charters Towers Region can now be explored online through Tales of the Towers.
From family history and historic buildings to the people, places and everyday moments that shaped the region, the collection offers a fascinating glimpse into the past, including Charters Towers, Ravenswood, Greenvale, Pentland and surrounding communities.
DatacomIT was pleased to support Charters Towers Regional Council with the implementation of the digital archive using Recollect, helping make these historical collections easier for the community to discover and explore.
And it’s not just about looking back. Users can create a free account to save their discoveries and contribute images, helping add to the region’s story for future generations.
