DatacomIT is proud to announce the successful launch of the City of Stirling’s new Recollect site – an innovative online platform that offers the community a modern and engaging way to explore the city’s rich history, treasured artworks, and diverse heritage collections.
The new platform showcases a rich array of content, including historical photographs, civic records, oral histories, and artwork, presented in a way that is engaging. Designed with accessibility and ease of use in mind, Recollect enables the public to search, browse, and share local stories while offering City of Stirling staff powerful tools for managing and growing their collections.
“The City of Stirling is a diverse community with a rich cultural history shaped by Mooro Nyoongar and migrant heritage,” City of Stirling Mayor Irwin said.
“This project is not only about preserving our cultural history but also sharing it and making it more accessible to the community.
“This is a great resource for students and for anyone looking for inspiration or looking to learn more about where they live.”
Working in close collaboration with the City of Stirling team, DatacomIT provided expert guidance and hands-on support throughout the planning, implementation, and rollout of the Recollect system. The result is an intuitive, community-focused platform that empowers users to explore, engage with, and contribute to the city’s cultural collections.
The City of Stirling Recollect site is now live and open to the public.
DatacomIT remains committed to supporting cultural and government institutions across Australia in their digital transformation journeys.
