DatacomIT recently completed the Digitisation of the Australian Army Journal (AAJ). The Journal commenced publication in 1948 as a medium through which a convey military information and stimulate military thought. It was published monthly until 1976 and then from 1999 with between one and four publications per annum.
DatacomIT has successfully digitised the entire Journal back catalogue including converting the text with 100% accuracy to the original item. DatacomIT delivered to the Army Journal publishers, text searchable PDF files for each edition, and individual files for each article. The book scanning process utilised by DatacomIT ensured no damage was caused to the original bound volumes. It is expected that these digital versions of the Journal will be published sometime next year to the Army Journal website.
The client was very pleased with all aspects of the DatacomIT outcome.
