DatacomIT has been appointed to digitise the back catalogue (1929 – 1990) of Honit Soit for the Sydney University.
Honi Soit is the weekly student newspaper of the University of Sydney, Australia. First published in 1929, the paper is distributed around campus free for all students to read, Honi Soit has a colorful and sometimes controversial history but has a proud reputation of being the most vibrant and prestigious student publication in Australia. The name is an abbreviation of the Anglo-Norman “Honi soit qui mal y pense” (“Shame upon him who thinks evil of it”).
DatacomIT is extremely pleased with this appointment as Honi Soit is a very iconic Australian University publication. This Sydney University Project will create a great deal of interest and we are proud to be involved. The Alumni alone includes many Australian personalities including many well known journalists, politicians, satirist, writers and entertainers.
