Large Indigenous Collection Digitised for the Whole Community to Appreciate and Value

At DatacomIT we pride ourselves on securing the past for the future therefore when the Australian Institute of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Studies (AIATSIS) approached us to digitise a large Indigenous collection consisting of sorry books, Indigenous language material and two magazine titles (Identity and Deadly Vibe), we were thrilled and honoured.

AIATSIS is a world-renowned research, collections and publishing organisation. They promote knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures, traditions, languages and stories – past and present. The focus is to develop, preserve and provide access to a national collection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and heritage.

DatacomIT has successfully completed the digitisation of the Indigenous collections to a very high specification. The digital output will be available for the whole community to appreciate and value.

The client has expressed their thanks and appreciation for the project outcomes and support by DatacomIT.

“Thanks so much for your positive engagement and support throughout the project’s duration, your professionalism and due consideration towards our set deliverables had been very much appreciated” Senior Print & Digitisation Manager (AIATSIS)
